Vote Centers in 18 convenient locations throughout Sacramento County will open beginning Saturday, February 24, for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election. At a Vote Center any Sacramento County resident may register to vote, request a replacement ballot, vote their ballot in person or use the assistive ballot marking device. Operation times vary prior to Election Day, so check the times and location details carefully.
Voters wishing to return their mail ballot still have time to use an Official Ballot Drop Box. Visit the Ballot Drop Box page on our website for more information on locations and times. Each Ballot Drop Box location has specific hours of operation. Those preferring to mail their ballot may use their pink postage paid envelope that came with their ballot. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Voters must sign their ballot envelope in order for their ballot to be counted.
For more information, contact VRE at (916) 875-6451, or use the toll-free voter assistance hotline at (800) 762-8019. The hotline has the ability to connect voters with disabilities with TTY (Text Telephone).
