Sacramento County Prepares for Logic and Accuracy Testing

Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) is scheduled to begin logic and accuracy testing for their voting equipment for the November 3, 2026, General Election the week of September 21, 2026. Testing will run continuously until completed. If you are interested in observing this process, please contact our office at the number above.

Equipment tested:

Accessible Ballot Touchscreen, used for in-person voting
Mobile Ballot Printers, used for in-person voting
Tabulators, used at our main office to tabulate all voted ballots for the election
Adjudication Machines, used to help determine voter intent

Key Election Dates

Date	Event
Monday, October 5	Mailing of ballots to all registered voters begins
Monday, October 5	Voted Ballots may be returned in any of the Ballot Drop Boxes throughout the county
Monday, October 19	Close of voter registration for this election. Voter registration forms must be postmarked by this date or delivered to the VRE Office at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento 95283 by 5:00 p.m. Online voter registration must be complete before midnight on this date at www.registertovote.ca.gov
Monday, October 20	Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins
Monday, October 24	11 Day Vote Centers Open
Monday, October 27	Last day a Vote by Mail (VBM) ballot can be mailed to you. After this date, VBM ballots are only available the the VRE Office or a Vote Center
Saturday, October 31	All Vote Centers open throughout the County
Tuesday, November 3	Election Day
