Statewide Direct Primary Election Update
Ballot Count Update
After receiving a record breaking amount of Vote by Mail ballots, the Sacramento County Department of Voter Registration and Elections (DVRE) announced that there are approximately 219,000 ballots left to process for the Statewide Direct Primary Election. While ballot processing is still in progress, residents are reminded that the results provided online are still preliminary and are not yet final.
Interim Registrar of Voters Alice Jarboe will release the next update at approximately 4 p.m. today, June 7, 2018. Results can be viewed on the
election results webpage or by clicking on the election results banner on the
DVRE homepage. For additional information on remaining ballots to be processed, please refer to the
online resource page.
DVRE staff is working tirelessly to process and count all remaining ballots and will continue to do so until the required review of the election is complete. By law, Sacramento County has 30 days following an election to process all of the remaining ballots and report final results.
