Manual Tally Precinct Selection Scheduled for November 5
Public and media are invited to observe precinct selection and manual tally​​ 

Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) will randomly select the voting precincts to be included in the one percent manual tally for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election in accordance with California Election Code. Voting precincts will be selected at the VRE office.

The manual tally process validates the tabulation of ballots generated by the electronic voting equipment before certifying election results. 7 of the 609 voting precincts for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election will be selected.

The selection will take place on Wednesday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the VRE Office located at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento, 95823. The manual tally will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
